On August 18, 2023, Mala, the latest single by Voz a Voz, performed by Gilberto Gio Doleo, the only representative of the historic group, who separated in 2019, will be available in all major digital stores. Gio Doleo’s artistic career relentlessly continues, collecting constant successes through numerous record collaborations and tours all around the world. The single was entirely made in the Dominican Republic in Erik Zavala’s studios, in the city of Higuey, in a modern style that still retains, in essence, the typicality of the Dominican Bachata. Mala was produced by Gino Brigida, a popular DJ Producer with more than 15 years of discographic activity and collaborations with many world-class artists.
The myth of Voz a Voz was born in 2005, immediately receiving the acclaim that in 2007 brought them closer to the prestigious Billboard and Grammy awards with three nominations. Many other artistic satisfactions followed, such as the single Cuando en el Silencio, which in 2009 saw their first collaboration with Gino B.
Gio Doleo perfectly embodies the soul of Voz a Voz; it feeds and enhances its artistic value with that spirit of creative union that brings him alongside artists, personalities, and musically heterogeneous figures who inspire him and guide him in this personal and intense experience.
With Mala, Gio interprets the turmoil of a suffering feeling, of a disappointment that strikes and wounds him.
